While the preferred way of selecting Apollo Events is by selecting relevant business requirements and having Apollo auto-select the associated Apollo Events, you can also manually select Apollo Events if desired. Designing your implementation with this method may be the preferred method if you know exactly what actions are possible on your website or mobile application.


To design your implementation by selecting Apollo Events, while on the Event Attributes screen, you'll notice there is a Select slider for each Event in the table:


If the Select slider is grey, this means the Event is not currently included in your implementation. You can enable an event by clicking the slider:


You also have the option of using filters to find the Events you want to include in your implementation.

  1. Site Features - Site features represent different aspects of typical digital experiences such as onsite search or website forms. If desired, multiple site feature filters can be used concurrently to review Apollo Events for multiple site features (note that selecting multiple site features is an OR, not an AND, so any Event that is tied to one of the selected site features will appear in the list)

  2. Site Verticals - While no two organizations are the same, there are similarities among organizations that reside in the same industry vertical. For example, retail websites typically have similar Events that make take place on their websites/applications, but these Events may differ greatly from financial service websites. Apollo has assigned each Event to one or more industry verticals based upon past implementation experience. This provides you with another way to narrow Events and find the ones that are most relevant to your organization. Events that apply to any industry vertical are housed in the “Any” item in the Vertical filter.

  3. Attributes - Attributes correspond to Apollo Events and describe the event when it occurs. When you know an attribute you would like included your in your implementation, this filter may be used to list which event(s) it is associated with.

  4. Enabled vs Disabled - Use this filter to view which Events you have already included in your implementation or that are not currently included in your implementation.

In addition to these filters there is an open search box where you can search for Events by text match. For example, if you wanted to see all the Apollo Events that contain "form" in their name, you can enter "form" and see the list of events is filtered to those that contain "form":


One last way to identify an event you'd like to use is by referencing the Agency or Organization flags associated with some events. Each time a new event is imported at the scope of an Agency or Organization, you will see the scope indicated inline with the event. An "O" means that event is scoped that the Organization level and an "A" means it is scoped at the Agency level.
