Data Sources
Data Sources from the data layer are collected in the Design -> Data Sources tab.
Â
There are multiple views that help you find the complete breakdown of your implementation attributes and their associated data sources. You can see details on each item type, allowing you to see a more in-depth view.
Â
Data Layer
The Data Layer view allows you to expand or collapse the overview of your data layer based on the type of data that you have on your site.
Â
Static
The Static view shows the static data sources. A static data source is a persistent value that you would like to capture. This is often a static value of "1" that represents an incrementing event, a variable placeholder in GTM such as the items in curly braces below, or an actual static string value.
Â
Â
Custom Code
The Custom Code view shows all of the custom code variables that has been configured for the property. These items represent custom JavaScript variables that are built into the system or that you created with Custom Data Designer.
Data Enrichment
The Data Enrichment data type represents items that are built into the analytics platform, or that come from outside sources such as processing rules or integrations within Adobe Analytics.
Â
Â
Query String
The Query String data source represents items that come from a query string in the URL, such as custom campaign tracking code parameters, email campaigns, or others that are identified in this manner. A query string begins with a ? if it is the first query string parameter present or a & if it is the second or higher parameter present. When query string parameters are created in Apollo from scratch or edited in a data source, you can specify the name of the parameter you are looking for, such as "cid". Parameters of this type show in the Query String area.
